Legacy Scholar Profile: Joshua Olorigebe

“Leadership is an action, not a position. It is an act of service and the choices I make must always be in the best interests of those I lead. As John Maxwell said, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” People work best when and where they feel loved, valued, respected, and appreciated.”

Joshua is an undergraduate student at Jarvis Christian University, pursuing a degree in nursing with the hope to serve those in need. Originally from Nigeria, Joshua moved to the United States after graduating from “The Childville School” in Lagos. There he was actively involved in many extracurricular and student organizational activities, serving as the student council president, public speaking president, co-finding the press club, obtaining an Oracle certification, and four Microsoft Office certifications. Joshua also volunteered at his church and interned at “The Childville School” after graduation.
