Gloria is an undergraduate at Texas Christian University, pursuing a degree in International Economics with a minor in Journalism. Gloria was born in Managua, Nicaragua, and has lived there all her life. This May, she will be graduating from the American Nicaraguan School, where she completed primary and secondary school. There, she was a member of the debate club, member of the journalism team, vice president of the Pink Club (breast cancer awareness organization), and president of the Student Government. She was also a member of the National Honors Society and an intern in the marketing and communication department. In her local community, she gave art workshops at a low-income school and raised funds for a non-profit organization that promotes the holistic development of children with disabilities in Nicaragua.
After completing her studies, she hopes to combine her love for economics, politics, and international relations to improve policymaking and foster economic growth in her community.
